Asbestos Abatement

Full-Service, Certified Asbestos Abatement | Ensuring Health & Regulatory Compliance

Asbestos is a designated substance and a severe health risk requiring specialized handling. Our certified technicians provide full-service asbestos abatement, strictly following all federal, provincial, and local regulations. We manage the entire process, from initial testing and compliance documentation to secure removal and final air clearance, ensuring your property is safe.

The Legal & Health Imperative (Why Professional Help is Required)

  • Health Hazards: Disturbed asbestos fibers become airborne and, when inhaled, pose severe long-term risks, including lung cancer, mesothelioma, and asbestosis. Never attempt to remove it yourself.

  • Legal Compliance: Designated Substance Survey (DSS)

  • Common Locations: Asbestos can be found in flooring, roofing, stucco, drywall compound, pipe wrap, insulation (vermiculite), and duct wrap.

  • Residential & Commercial: We handle the regulatory and safety requirements for both residential properties and large-scale commercial/industrial facilities.

In Canada, we are legally obligated to test all building materials for asbestos (and other designated substances) in any structure built prior to 1986 before demolition or renovation work begins. This is done through a Designated Substance Survey (DSS). We ensure your project fully complies with all provincial health and safety regulations to avoid fines and costly delays.

Our Certified 5-Step Asbestos Abatement Process

1. Inspection & Material Testing

  • Initial site inspection to determine the scope and Type of contamination (e.g., Type 1, 2, or 3).

  • Collection and analysis of suspected materials by a certified third-party lab to confirm the presence of Asbestos.

2. Safety Documentation & Compliance

Development of a detailed Scope of Work (SOW) and the necessary Notice of Project (NOP) documentation required by provincial health regulations (e.g., OHSA).

3. Containment & Negative Air Pressure

  • Establishment of a sealed work area (containment) using poly sheeting, duct tape, and specialized Negative Air Pressure (NAP) machines to prevent fiber release into clean areas.

  • Wetting of ACMs prior to removal to minimize airborne dust.

4. Controlled Removal & Secure Disposal

  • Careful and deliberate removal of friable and non-friable asbestos materials.

  • All ACMs are packaged, sealed, and transported according to strict protocols to an approved, licensed disposal facility.

5. Clearance Testing & Restoration

  • Decontamination of equipment and personnel via a three-stage shower process.

  • Final air quality testing conducted by an independent, third-party consultant to issue a Certificate of Clearance, legally guaranteeing the air is safe for re-occupancy
